2nd attempt:

Wishing I hadn't had that cookie.
Grateful for Cabernet Sauvignon after a crazy week.
Looking forward to spending time with my Jilli (who knows when).
Excited to see all my ladies on Sunday (Christina, Aly & Christina).
Wondering what's going to happen next.
Realizing the meaninglessness of it all.
Getting giddy about the little stuff.
Beyond happy to have Ben for as long as our hearts beat <3
Life: It's not all so bad.

fleeting

Graham

I take unexpected and what seem to be random pictures, like this one, of my boys, in hopes of remembering just how they smelled. To remember what the soft spot behind their knees felt like and the noises they made when gazing out a window. It seems that the two and a half years it took London to get to this point happened in a matter of months and I can barely understand how Graham is nine months old already.
My little boys will no longer be babies soon and I want to remember it as clearly as possible. My fear is that this time will only be a fuzzy blur one day and I will wonder if it ever happened at all.

I was...

looking through some pictures and found this one:

I totally L O L'ed.

An "un-whole" meal.

Since Ben has been at home more often I've found myself thinking out breakfasts and lunches. Having to plan two extra meals a day has sapped my creativity so Ben helped out and suggested beans and weenies in crescent rolls... totally "fake" food, but somehow still SO yummy :o)

27 years

I celebrated my 27th year of life last Thursday.

As much as I dreaded stepping another year closer to 30, my loved ones made it a lovely day anyway.

10:00am Jill brought me a grande vanilla latte and a birthday card that says "A great friend will know how you take your coffee... a great friend with add booze." Totally us and made me smile huge :o)
She watched the boys and gave me a gift certificate to get a mani/pedi (toes: Bubblebath. fingers: Somebody call my taxi!!)
Ben drove me to and from that appointment just to squeeze in extra time with me *blush*.

11:45am Talked to my Mom on the phone and got some love xo

12:00pm Met Mom and Dad V. at Downtown Cafe in Rochester for a birthday lunch. Mom presented me with a beautiful vase with calla lillies and a card with cousin Naomi's art work on the front and "new clothes" money! It was so nice hanging out as couples without kids in tow.

2:00pm Mom V followed us home, helped put London down for a nap and Ben ran off to a meeting. Matt, Briana and Jaden came over to visit and after they left Dad called and wished me happyhappybirthdaywishes xo

The afternoon is a blur...

6:00pm (?) Christina and Steve come over with a card that also made me laugh (and think that maybe I have a "problem" LOL), it said something about "Boo fricken hoo- you're another year old, just pour yourself a drink!" (I can't find it right now). Christina being her usual thoughtful self, remembered that I wanted a milk frother, so her and Steve presented me with that unwarrented gift. They were over to babysit so that Ben could take me out on a date. I am one loved and lucky girl :o)

8:00pm Ben and I went to Somerset first and I spent most of my birthday money on a wallet, pair of earrings, two tops and a pair of leggings. It was amazing not dealing with kids at the mall. I took my time, browsed, tried things on. Ben and I even got to carry on conversations without one of us having to walk a kid around or change a diaper!

9:00pm Bahama Breeze for dinner! We had a gift card Impilo gave us a year ago for Darden Restaurants and have been slowly rationing it's use. Almond encrusted salmon and chicken in a butter sauce (yowzers was it good) was for dinner with a glass of white wine for the birthday girl!

10:00pm The Black Lotus for beers! This is a bar Ben goes to often with his buddies and I finally got to go with him. It was awesome talking, drinking, relaxing, gazing into each other's eyes... hhaha, yeah.

What a wonderful birthday, thank you everyone who made it great and all the other birthday wishers on Twitter, Facebook and via text message, I love you all!

Late nights with toddlers.

This one time the boys had a long busy day, when we got home London had dinner around 5pm and totally passed out in my arms. We tried everything to keep him awake with no success, he was OUT. Graham fell asleep shortly after that. I knew this was probably a bad thing, as enjoyable as it was in the moment...
At 1:00am, just as Ben and I were falling asleep, London got out of bed, "bright eyed and bushy tailed"!!! We hung out and watch t.v. on Hulu.com until 4:00am.
This is my extremely tired face with London:

Graham snuffling

Trying to get Graham to show his new face where he scrunches up his noses and breathes fast, no idea where it came from but I love it.
